TOURIST VISA SUPPORT/INVITATION LETTER FOR KYRGYZSTAN

The process normally takes one week, although it may be possible to apply for “express” service by paying an additional fee. We recommend that you allow ten to fifteen days, however, to allow for holidays and communication.

Visa support from the Ministry of Foreign affairs is needed for:

those with “private, business or other purposes”, (this refers to the Ordinary visa – not to Tourist visas)

for multiple entry visas

visas valid for more than one month

for citizens of certain countries (even though, generally, the Kyrgyz Republic enjoys good diplomatic relations with these countries, special procedures are applied and the process takes two weeks instead of the usual one week.) These countries include:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates

• 60 euro p/p

- Not required for citizens of 45 countries, who can apply for a tourist visa, valid for up to one month, at a Kyrgyz consulate either abroad or at Manas airport in Bishkek WITHOUT INVITATION. These countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Montenegro, Hungarian republic, Lithuanian republic, Latvian republic.

- The citizens of the following countries DO NOT need visas: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia (for up to 1month), Moldavia, Mongolia (for up to 3 months), Russia, Ukraine ( for up to 3 month), Turkey (for up to 1 month), Tadjikistan.

- In other circumstances – e.g. if applying for a visa at a Kazakh consulate, or requiring a visa for more than one month, or if you are a citizen of another country, then you will still need a visa support from Konsulate of MFA in Bishkek.

- To provide Kyrgyz visa support we need the following information: your full name, date and place of birth, passport number, issue and expiry date, nationality, occupation, home address, intended date of exit and entry and the Embassy where your visa will be issued

• - Forwarded to you by E-mail. Allow 10-15 working days for processing the visa support after receiving all necessary information.

VISA SUPPORT FOR KAZAKHSTAN

• 60 euro p/p

- Not required for citizens of 27 countries who can get single-entry tourist visas in the Diplomatic Missions of Kazakhstan WITHOUT INVITATION.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Island Republic, Spain, Italy, Canada, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, USA, Finland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, New Zealand .

• Invitation for visas for citizens of other countries – within 10-12 days after receiving necessary information.

• Tourists can get transit Kazak visa (in Kazak Embassy or Almaty airport) without invitation in case, if they have visa and train or air tickets to 3-d country.

- For arranging visa support we need the following information:

Name, surname, sex, date and place of birth, passport number, date of issue and date of expiry, citizenship, nationality, permanent address, place of work and occupation, place of visa application, period of staying in Kazakhstan, number of entries to Kazakhstan, address of staying in Kazakhstan, itinerary, purpose of visit (tourism or business), carrier (number of flight or train, date of arrival and departure)

OVIR REGISTRATION

- 10 euro p/p for CIS countries

- 15 euro p/p for foreign citizens

• - All foreign visitors are required to register with the local authorities (OVIR) within 3 working days of arrival in Kyrgyzstan. Tourists staying less than one month are only required to register once (i.e. not in every place they stay)

- The citizens of the following 45 countries staying in Kyrgyzstan for up to one month NO LONGER NEED to register in OVIR. These countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Montenegro, Hungarian republic, Lithuanian republic, Latvian republic.

- Citizens of other countries – are still required to register.

BORDER ZONE PERMIT

• 25 euro p/p non urgent (15 days before arrival)

• 50 euro p/p urgent (1-3 days before arrival)

• - Required for areas close to the Chinese border (or the nearest border post), including Ekhilitash, Maydaadyr, Ak-Shirakh, Pikertik, the Inylchek area, the Northern face of Terskey Range, from Ak-Suu in the East to Dzhuuku in the West, Achiktash (Lenin Peak), the Northern face of the Turkestan and Alaiskiy Ranges, Chatkal valley and the Aksai glacier of Ala-Archa valley.
